Ah...It's almost Christmas. I was very excited about mid November. I even started listening to Christmas music BEFORE Thanksgiving. My husband and I went Black Friday shopping and enjoyed ourselves buying presents for the kids. Planning who gets what. I put up some decorations the day before Thanksgiving, and had my tree decorated a few days after. I also hung some Christmas lights around the porch and columns since we have a house this year. Put a big pretty red bow on the door of the gate. . .
Then everything started to become a pain. I had wonderful thoughts of beautifully wrapping the presents. Bows, ribbons and creased corners. After present number one, I wanted gift bags for everything. My back started hurting from bending over and I had wrapping paper scraps everywhere. The cats refuse to leave the tree alone. Had two handmade ornaments broke. Had to spend $17 on some sort of spray to keep them away from it. Put some presents under the tree, which I didn't have a tree skirt for, so I used a white sheet. Cat peed on it. (Thank goodness it didn't get on any presents) Thought I had finished my shopping. Found out someone got something for me, so now I have to go and get them something... Anyway, so now I am just ready to start Christmas and be done with it! I AM excited for the kids to open their gifts though.
While I'm here, let me just complain for a minute more about something. Does NO ONE know what RSVP means? Youngest daughter turned 9 this past weekend. Through her a party at Chuck E Cheese. Sent out like 10 invites saying RSVP. Only her cousins did. I mean hello. People need to plan things! So as I'm walking out the door, her friend from down the road called and said she needed a ride. So I picked her up, and then of course like 4 people showed up that never RSVP'd. And I just want to throw in that this is the first time she has ever had an actual party outside of family, and holy cow it was crazy! Kids running everywhere. But it was a good time, and I think everyone enjoyed it. Next year I had thought to do a sleepover party, but now I think I might just do a trip to the movies with a couple friends.
We made Salt Dough ornaments today for Christmas trees. Cooling right now, will be painting them later. Wish me luck!

What to Expect
As the title suggests, this post is about what to expect from this blog. The answer is 'not much' :) This isn't going to be a blog that changes the world, (or even tries to) it won't give you something thought provoking to entertain yourself with during the day. It may make you laugh however. But that probably won't be intentional.
I am a stay at home mom. I babysit my nieces about 3 days a week. I am married. 1 year as of this past November. Just moved to a house right behind my mother and father in law. This gives something to talk about sometimes.
So in this first post I would just like to roughly tell you about me. I am 33, I'm a SAHM (as I mentioned) to an almost 9 year old. Who is in school all day. So, truthfully, I am just a mom that doesn't work. LOL. It's not like I'm taking care of her while she's in school. But I can get away with this because (as I also mentioned earlier) I babysit my nieces 3 days a week. They are 5 and 3. So they don't take that much work either. And the income doesn't really contribute that much because I charge her a RIDICULOUSLY low price. And honestly, I sit home and mess around on the internet all day. Which I would love to find a way to financially make that lucrative. But Zynga isn't paying me anything, and neither is Pinterest and Facebook. Which I am sure I will talk about in many many many future posts.
So basically I will tell you all about what I do during the day. Or more accurately what I didn't do, but intended to...or needed to...or wanted to...or was asked to do...or just didn't feel like doing. And here's a spoiler. It's usually cooking. What kind of SAHM am I when I don't even cook? It's interesting, yes? Today I am a SAHM that actually did a load of clothes. Now whether it makes it upstairs out of the dryer within 3 days, is yet to be seen. I did dishes, fed my nieces breakfast, made the bed, and bleached my roots and now am sitting here waiting for my hair toner to process. Which brings me to the reason I started this blog. I apparently have all these wonderful ideas and 'deep' thoughts while in the shower. And generally I get out and forget about them, or realize I really don't feel like doing it. So I decided in the shower that I would start a blog all about that! And HEY!! I started one! Gold star for me!!
So who knows what I may or may not be doing next!
